Transport Services is seeking Technician Apprentices to join the outstanding Service Division at our Cleveland, Ohio branch. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated, hardworking, and mechanically inclined individuals looking to begin careers as Semi-Trailer Technicians. Technician Apprentices will receive invaluable, on-going training from our highly talented and experienced Technicians through our formalized training program.

Upon graduation from the apprenticeship, technicians will have the opportunity to continue training and honing their skills to advance to higher technician levels through our technician tier program. Graduated technicians are also eligible to receive uncapped efficiency bonuses in addition to their hourly wage.

This is a full-time, first shift, hourly/non-exempt position starting at $18/hr. The hours are 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday. The option to work four tens will be available upon graduation. After you get some years of experience under your belt, and with a “work smarter, not harder” mentality, you can earn upwards of $80,000 or more each year as a Technician!

Experience/Skills Required:

Must provide own tools (these can be acquired while working through the program)
Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
Willing and able to perform rigorous manual labor tasks
Self-motivated
Hard-working
Reliable
Eager to learn
Works well with others
Must be able to read and write
Frequently move parts and/or materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to bend
Must be able to use power tools
Must be 18 years or older to qualify

The Location

The Cleveland Branch of Transport Services is our original branch and current Corporate Headquarters. TSI Cleveland was remodeled in 2017 and is equipped with a state-of-the-art workout facility with recently renovated locker rooms. Cleveland’s Service Division includes an 26-bay shop that provides maintenance and repair services for heavy duty trucks and semi trailers. The Service Division works in tandem with our on-site Lease-Rental, Sales, and Parts Divisions.
